Olabisi Aishat Bello is an aspiring biomedical engineer from Oyo State, Nigeria, currently studying chemical engineering at Howard University. Despite her passion for science, she has always loved the fluidity and joy writing grants her, and she hopes to make an impact in society with this gift and her overall devotion to making the world a better place. Shannon Bryan is a Canadian writer of speculative fiction. When not busy with work or writing, Shannon can be found crocheting, playing D&D, or perusing the shelves of indie bookstores. “Orbital Decay” is Shannon’s first published work.
Daniel James Clark attended college at the University of Nevada, Reno where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in photography, and a minor in journalism. He lives in Henderson, Nevada with his family where he spends his time as a homemaker, photographing news events, maintaining a nonprofit website, and writing stories.
Diana Devlin is a Scottish-Italian poet and short story writer who lives in Tuscany. Formerly a translator, bilingual lexicographer and teacher, she has been published online and in print in several countries, in journals such as The Lake, Ink Sweat & Tears, The Poets’ Republic, Plainsongs and The Blue Nib, as well as in various anthologies. She won First Prize in the Hedgehog Press international poetry competition in 2018 and a poetry collaboration she was involved in was published in pamphlet/chapbook form by Hedgehog Press in 2019. She recently completed her first novel.
Pasiphae Dreams @dreamofpasiphae is the alias of an imposter poet with many pronouns. As an emerging trans artist, he uses speculative fiction and poetry to explore gender and trauma.
Miriam Gauntlett is a London-based writer and PhD student. Recently, her work has appeared in Porridge Magazine, Pandemic Publications and Cypress Press.
Shayna Gee (she/they) is a poet and writer born in San Francisco. Their chapbook, “MUSHROOMS AT THE E-GRAVE” is forthcoming in Ghost City Press 2021 Summer Series. Their work has appeared or is forthcoming in Write Now! SF Bay Anthology, Stone of Madness Press, West Trestle Review, among others. They’re a vision coordinator and reader for multiple magazines. Amlanjyoti Goswami‘s recent collection of poems River Wedding (Poetrywala) has been widely reviewed. His poetry has been published in journals and anthologies around the world. Publications include The Poetry Review, Penguin Random House, Acumen, Shearsman, Southword, IQ: The Indian Quarterly, Temz Review, Amsterdam Quarterly and The Lumiere Review among others. A Best of the Net nominee, his poems have also appeared on street walls in Christchurch, exhibitions in Johannesburg, an e-gallery in Brighton and buses in Philadelphia. He has read in various places, including New York, Delhi and Boston. He grew up in Guwahati, Assam and lives in Delhi.
Brett Lyons is a third-year undergraduate student at Simon Fraser University. He is pursuing a major in English and a minor in philosophy with aspirations to complete a graduate program in the latter. He holds a particular interest in Camusian absurdism as well as Buddhist philosophy and hopes to one day write a thesis about one, or both, of these philosophical schools. While he makes time for reading and writing, more often than not he can be found in the abyss that is thought.
S. Rupsha Mitra is a writer from India with a penchant for everything creative. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in opia, From the Farther trees, Ethel, North Dakota Quarterly and Indian Literature Journal.
Kirsten Reneau is a writer from West Virginia. She received her MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of New Orleans, and her work has also been featured in The Threepenny Review, Hobart, Hippocampus Magazine, and others.
Nadia Steven Rysing (she/her) is a poet and speculative writer living on the Haldimand Tract in Southwestern Ontario. Krishnakumar Sankaran is a writer based in Mississauga, Ontario. Claire Sosienski Smith was born by the sea, read English Literature at Selwyn College, Cambridge, and is currently based in London. They spend a lot of time thinking about poetry, free education and Bruce Springsteen’s back catalogue.
Max Turner is a gay transgender man based in the United Kingdom. He is also a parent, nerd, intersectional feminist and coffee addict. Max writes speculative and science fiction, fantasy, urban fantasy, gothic horror and LGBTQ+ romance, and more often than not, combinations thereof.
Madi Whaley is an organic farmer and as of fall 2021, will be pursuing their master’s in Gender & Women’s Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and residing on Ho-Chunk lands. Originally from Sacramento, California on Miwok lands, they are inspired by the ecologies they grew up with and the ones they’re coming to know. They enjoy lake swimming, big bunches of herbs, petting dogs, and feeding their loved ones. They are a strong believer in the power of fantasies and folktales to give us wisdom for our current realities and open doors to better futures.
